Vera's Sand Copper Anklet

This is the piece people reach for when they want something they'll forget they're wearing - until they look down and remember it's there. I made this one for the people who don't want weight or statement, just copper against the skin doing what copper does. The dimples across the surface are ball-peen hammer marks, each one placed by hand - lighter and more spaced than some of my heavier pieces, which gives this one a different quality of light when the sun catches it.

People who wear copper consistently tell me the same thing: they stopped noticing what they used to notice in their joints and their feet.

This is one of the last anklets I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds the ankle that needs something quiet and real.
