Vera's Band Copper Ring

There’s something about copper close to your fingers—the warmth settles in fast, and you stop noticing it’s there until you take it off.

I cut the three grooves by hand, one pass at a time, and set two magnets into the inner band the way I’ve always done it quietly, without fuss. People who work with their hands have worn copper rings for a long time.

I’m not the first to make them, and I won’t tell you why they keep wearing it.

This is one of the last rings I’ll make before I close my workshop. I hope it finds the right hand.
